Tasting & Toasting 2026: The Impact

Thank you to everyone who made Tasting & Toasting 2026 such a meaningful success.

Because of your support, we raised $19,650 to help continue CoSA Ottawa’s work building safer communities through connection, accountability, and support.

These funds directly support individuals reintegrating after incarceration, providing critical resources, reducing isolation, and helping prevent future harm.

A Special Thank You

We extend our sincere thanks to:

  • Our generous sponsors and partners
  • The local vendors who shared their craft and made the evening special
  • Our dedicated volunteers and board members
  • Every guest who showed up in support of our mission

Looking Ahead

The momentum from this event carries forward into everything we do. While the evening may be over, the work continues—and so does the impact.

If you were inspired by what you experienced, there are many ways to stay involved:

  • Make a donation
  • Become a volunteer
  • Become a member
  • Follow and share our work
  • Attend future events

Together, we are building safer communities.

Thank you for being part of Tasting & Toasting 2026.

We also extend our thanks to the incredible vendors and partners who helped bring the evening to life:

I attended the CoSA Gala in 2022 and felt it was one of the most successful Gala I had ever attended. In addition to the Gala being particularly well organized, I was truly impressed with the quality and diversity of the many items for both the silent and live auctions. Gilles

Having worked in Corrections, I know firsthand the powerful role Circles of Support and Accountability (CoSA) plays in both helping offenders to change and in making our communities safer for all. The CoSA Gala is an important part of ensuring this underfunded organization can continue to do its work. An evening of inspiration, a great meal, and exciting opportunities through their live and silent auction awaits each ticket holder. But better still, instead of just saying someone should do something about the issues CoSA tackles, you are actively making that "something" possible. They can count on me again this year, and I hope to see you there too! Bill

Unlike other platforms which typically charge a user fee in addition to transaction fees on every single transaction, Zeffy is 100% for the organisations that use our platform. Zeffy covers all credit card fees and does not charge a platform use fee. In return, Zeffy includes a suggested voluntary contribution to donors at the payment step. As it is a voluntary contribution, donors can choose a different amount from the suggested one by clicking "Other" and entering the amount of their choice, or they can enter "$0" if they do not wish to support our platform.

Zeffy’s model is driven by the belief that all nonprofits should have access to 100% of the donations intended for their mission, therefore these contributions are Zeffy’s only source of revenue. They help to cover transaction fees, platform development and service costs. On a large scale, the voluntary contribution gives thousands of organizations access, for the first time, to a high-quality fundraising technology completely free of charge (normally the charge is a minimum of 4% per donation received). For the more than 10,000 organizations that work with Zeffy, this means a bigger budget and greater efficiency in fulfilling their mission to society.
